Helene Spocchia is a fluid artist living on the Isle of Sheppey, UK. Typically drawing inspiration from the surrounding coast, Helene uses acrylic pouring techniques to create dynamic and detailed acrylic paintings.

Since graduating with a BA Hons in Fine Art in 2009, Helene has developed her creativity further by discovering a passion for fluid art. The experimental nature of acrylic pouring is an exciting combination of skill and spontaneity, and Helene describes herself as 'happily hooked'.

"Acrylic pouring is my happy place. Mixing, layering and pouring paint - they're all part of the adventure. I really enjoy the unpredictable elements of fluid art and, surprisingly, find freedom in the trial and error; it's good for my chronic perfectionism!"

Creation is Helene's greatest artistic inspiration and she enjoys abstractly and dynamically pouring pieces that reflect this. Helene's belief in a Creator informs her work; she draws inspiration from the creative handiwork she sees around her and she attempts to showcase the wonder of creation through expressively putting paint to canvas.

Each piece of art becomes a soulful snapshot of Helene's carefully crafted response to that which inspires her. It is this, combined with the practical processes of paint pouring, that means each piece can't be replicated and becomes truly unique.
